Who We Are
Union Freight is built around nearly a decade of hands-on European freight and customs experience; managing complex supply chains for UK businesses across retail, manufacturing, and specialist sectors. We are not a large forwarding house with a customer service team and a process manual. We are a specialist operation where the person who answers your call is the same person who understands your shipment, knows your suppliers, has spoken to your collection and delivery points, and is managing your freight end to end. That is not a limitation. For the right client, it is exactly what they've been looking for.
How We Think
A business needed to get goods to their European customer within a transit time their current proposal couldn't achieve. Every option on the table was too slow. Rather than accepting the constraints of the original routing, we looked at the entire journey differently. By rerouting through an alternative port, one that was actually further away geographically, we found a combination of sea freight and onward road leg that not only met the transit time requirement, but came in cheaper than the original proposal. A further port. A faster delivery. A lower total cost. That is what happens when you look at the whole picture rather than the individual components.
