Complex Supply Chain · Project Freight · European Road · Sea & Air
The freight partner for businesses that need more than a forwarder
Union Freight is a complex supply chain specialist working with retailers, manufacturers and construction businesses across road, sea and air, building freight solutions around your operation, your customers, and the KPIs your business depends on.
10 years
International freight experience across sales, senior account management and sales management
Built around your operation
We take the time to understand your supply chain, your customers and your KPIs before we recommend anything, so the solution fits your business, not ours
KPI driven, not volume driven
We are not incentivised to move more freight, we are incentivised to move it better
Retail
High volume supply chains moving goods from multiple international suppliers and outward to customers across the UK and globally. Where varying order sizes, delivery windows and stock availability across different markets all need to be managed without a single customer noticing the complexity behind it.
-
Multiple suppliers and multiple customer destinations managed as one solution

-
Varying order sizes and service level expectations across different retail customers

-
Stock availability and on-shelf KPIs that cannot be missed

-
Seasonal peaks and promotional windows that need planning well in advance
Construction
Project freight for developments where materials and equipment must arrive in the right sequence, at the right time, because a delayed delivery means a delayed project, and in construction, a delayed project means real and immediate cost to everyone involved.
-
Sequenced multi-trailer deliveries around build programme's

-
Every project has unique requirements and tight timelines

-
Specialist vehicles including flatbeds, Moffetts and HIABs
Manufacturing
Every shipment matters, because your goods are often the component keeping someone else's operation moving. Each order can carry its own routing, customs requirements and delivery expectation. We manage that complexity so your customers never have to wait for you.
-
Every country, every customer and every shipment can have unique requirement's

-
Bespoke manufacturing means no two orders are the same; we plan accordingly

-
Production line continuity depends on your goods arriving precisely when they are needed

-
Multi-trailer projects and sequenced deliveries coordinated to exact schedules

We work with businesses where freight is not a simple transaction, it is a critical part of a supply chain that has real consequences when it goes wrong

WHO WE WORK WITH
Three sectors. One specialist.
WHAT WE DO DIFFERENTLY
Most forwarders manage freight. We manage outcomes.
The difference between a standard freight forwarder and a supply chain specialist is what happens before the shipment moves and what happens when something does not go to plan.
We plan before we quote
Every new client gets a consultative conversation about their supply chain, not a generic rate card. We understand your lanes, your customers and your KPIs before we recommend anything.
We coorindate the whole journey
Collections, customs, sequencing, delivery windows, we manage every stage so you have one point of contact and full visibility, not a chain of suppliers passing the problem between them.
We measure what matters to you
Whether your KPI is transit time, cost reduction, on-time delivery or damage reduction, we build our service around the numbers your business is measured on.
We solve problems, not just shipments
When something goes wrong, and in freight, things sometimes do, you speak to the person who knows your account and has the network to fix it. Not a call centre reading from a script.
HOW WE THINK
A real example- no names, just the thinking

A business needed to get goods to their European customer within a transit time their current proposal couldn't achieve. Every option on the table was too slow. Rather than accepting the constraints of the original routing, we looked at the entire journey differently. By rerouting through an alternative port, one that was actually further away geographically, we found a combination of sea freight and onward road leg that not only met the transit time requirement, but came in cheaper than the original proposal. A further port. A faster delivery. A lower total cost.

Most forwarders optimise the freight. We optimise the outcome.

ABOUT
A freight partner that treats your supply chain as its own

Union Freight was built on nearly 10 years of international freight experience across sales and senior account management and sales managment, working with manufacturers, retailers and construction businesses moving goods across Europe and globally.

We do not operate as a volume broker passing your shipment down a chain. Every client gets a dedicated point of contact who understands their lanes, their suppliers, their customers, and their KPIs. When something needs solving, the person you speak to is the person solving it.

That is how relationships are built. And relationships are how supply chains get better over time.
